The Art of Adaptation

  Civil War 150th Anniversary

City Lit will host its fifth annual The Art of Adaptation, a festival of stage adaptations of non-dramatic literature, June 29, 30 and July 1 .Submissions are now being accepted and must be postmarked no later than April 30. Click the link for more details.

Every April from 2011 through 2015, City Lit will produce a show that commemorates the American Civil War in honor of the Sesquicentennial.

Easter Weekend Reading/Workshop

City Lit's newly developed Real Live Literature Program presented a free interactive reading of The Tale of Peter Rabbit and The Tale of Benjamin Bunny in celebration of Easter weekend!

ALA's Banned Books Week

   

City Lit Theater and the American Library Association have teamed together for the past five years to present readings from each year’s list of most frequently challenged books. Banned Books Week has been held during the last week of September since 1982.
